/ world today news/ It is extremely important, in the period until July 11, that the BSP be able to present to the Bulgarian society the left-wing narrative about the future of Bulgaria after Borisov’s decade-long right-wing rule. This was said by the chairman of BSP – Sofia Kaloyan Pargov during the third meeting of the XIV Conference of the Sofia City Organization.
“This requires all of us not only to have learned from the mistakes and omissions made in the previous campaign, but also to be mobilized to take or participate in serious positions in the governance of the country. Analyzes at the regional, city and national level show that the BSP suffered a heavy loss in the April 4 parliamentary elections. “For the first time in the three decades after the changes, and after a seven-year period in opposition, the left received such a crushing result,” he pointed out.
According to him, now is the time for the BSP to present its realistic management visions for the development of the economy, health care, education, science and culture, the social sphere, agriculture, etc. in a more concrete and expertly substantiated manner. “Let’s indicate the path along which Bulgaria will move from the last place in terms of development in the EU to higher positions,” explained Pargov.
“Expectations are for new management ideas and intelligent solutions, effectively concretized. And to be able to present this specific management program to the public tomorrow. The time for general talk is over. Concrete decisive measures are needed!” said the leader of the capital’s socialists.
He also touched on the topic of responsibility, which, according to him, is key.
“In order to move forward, it is important to clarify who, when and how takes responsibility for the decisions made. The dialogue in the party is broken. The divergence between the party’s leadership and structures is about to become a style of party governance. It is not natural, when leaders, civil quotas are imposed “from above” in opposition to the opinion and arguments of the party organizations, then they should be held accountable for the results achieved,” said Pargov.
The chairman of the BSP – Sofia stated that the main task is to elect the candidates for people’s representatives in the three Sofia MIRs. “Our party organizations have nominated worthy candidates with bright professional biographies. I believe that we will be able to arrange lists in which different professions and sectors will be represented,” he stressed.
Pargov called on the candidates for people’s representatives to fully devote themselves to the campaign, because “Sofia is a more complicated city.”
“In the capital, where almost a third of Bulgaria’s population lives, elections are extremely influenced by national politics. Naturally, also from the behavior of BSP, from the management solutions we offer, from the professional training and qualities of our candidates,” said Kaloyan Pargov.
