Political scientist Kaloyan Metodiev became head of the cabinet of Economy Minister Cornelia Ninova, Epicenter.bg reported.

He is a doctor of political science, a specialist in the Balkans, author of hundreds of articles and interviews on political and social issues.

Metodiev is a specialist in mass communications, he knows in depth the social processes. He is a follower of conservatism in politics and in his numerous interviews stressed that “Ninova is a clear expression of the national interest, of a socially conservative policy, which is professed by the majority in Bulgarian society.” According to him, BSP leader Cornelia Ninova has managed to maintain a firm stance on the social vector in the government, thus achieving an ideological victory.

Kaloyan Metodiev was born on April 24, 1976 in the city of Sofia. In 1994 he graduated from 133 High School “Al. S. Pushkin ”with a humanitarian profile and Russian language.

In 2001 he graduated with a master’s degree in political science from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”, where he specializes in Foreign Policy and National Security.

Doctor of Political Science. Author of the books “Generations and Age in Politics. The Bulgarian Transition ”(2012) and“ The Western Balkans and Bulgaria (Politics, Diplomacy, Security) ”(2016). Author of hundreds of articles and interviews on political and social issues.

He speaks English, Russian, Serbian and Croatian. Married with two children.

Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev (19.08.2019 – 21.09.2020). Organizes the “Bulgarian-Japanese Business Forum”, which is the largest such event in bilateral relations with the participation of the Bulgarian Presidency, Government, National Assembly, employers’ organizations, BAS, Japanese investors in Bulgaria and representatives of major Japanese corporations with annual turnover over $ 390 billion.

In 2011 he became a doctor of political science after defending a dissertation on “Generational dynamics and biological age factors in Bulgarian politics (1989 – 2007)”

From 2010 to 2019 he was a part-time lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Sofia University.

From 2012 to 2017 he was an assistant at SWU “Neofit Rilski”, where he teaches courses in Political Marketing, Institutions of the modern state, Political parties, Immigration policies, Energy policies, Contemporary political history in the Balkans.

From 2015 to 2019 he was a political scientist and chief analyst at the Institute for Strategies and Analysis.

From 2020 to 2021 he is the director of the REGO Institute
