Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. George Kallas, called the President of the Lebanese Football Association, Mr. Hashem Haidar, denouncing the events that took place yesterday in President Fouad Shehab’s municipal complex in Jounieh during the match between Al-Ansar and Al-Ahed.
Minister Kallas wished all those concerned in the football family, federation, clubs and fans, to be keen on sportsmanship and the honor of calm and sober competition, and he spoke with Haidar about “sports peace”, morals and the image of Lebanon.
In his contact with Haidar, Kallas called on the football family to calm down, expressing his confidence in the federation’s ability to implement the laws in force and use wisdom at the same time.
