– Two fire brigades went to the scene. Upon arrival, it turned out that the security guard had already managed to open the room. Inside was an unconscious man, his hand clenched in an electrical transfer case. Since it was live, the firefighters disconnected the electricity in the building and proceeded to check the condition of the injured person – Szymon Zielińskii, a spokesman for the Kalisz fire brigade informed, in an interview with the local portal Faktykaliskie.pl.
The man had no palpable pulse. Rescuers from an ambulance who arrived at the scene stated the death of the 36-year-old.
According to the police, the deceased man came from Ostrów Wielkopolski, and the cause of death was most likely an electric shock. The National Labor Inspectorate was also notified.
