The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant began production of BAIC X7 cars
This was reported in the release of Avtotor, received by Gazeta.Ru. Preparations for serial production of the new model began in June 2023.
“The production of the BAIC X7 model is carried out in full compliance with the international requirements of the quality management system, taking into account BAIC standards for quality control during the production process,” the company said in a statement.
The BAIC X7 crossover is equipped with a 180 hp petrol turbo engine that produces 270 Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The car is equipped with full LED headlights and taillights.
The production of cars of the Chinese brand BAIC at Avtotor started in April 2023. Currently, there are four models of this brand on the Russian market – a sedan, an SUV and two crossovers. By the end of 2023, the number of BAIC models assembled at Avtotor is planned to increase to seven.
