Jovan, ranked No. 104 in the world, defeated No. 814 Danilina 6-1, 6-0 in 53 minutes. In the fourth group, the battle of honor between France and Germany was eliminated in favor of the French. Clara Borel got France on the right track by beating Julie Niemeyer 6-4, 6-3. Newcomer Varvara Gracheva then won the second singles competition after her German opponent Tatiana Maria took a 3-0 lead.
