Kaj Gorgels answers question ‘Expedition Robinson’: this is how the dropout sleeps

‘Due to safety reasons, it is not allowed to sail in the dark during the filming of Expeditie Robinson. Nobody, no candidates and no crew. Only the captains and only in case of emergency.’ Gorgels states that this has always been the case.

Where do you sleep as a voted out candidate? Well, in a so-called ‘shelter’. ‘And believe me, this is not a luxurious place’, writes Gorgels. ‘Just outside, in the same heat or cold, in the rain and surrounded by the same mosquitoes. You don’t suddenly get a buffet there either. As soon as it is light, you will be sailed to the other island.”

Ah, now that we know that, at least we can sleep peacefully again.
