It’s official: Kai Havertz is leaving Chelsea for Arsenal. The Gunners reinforce their title aspirations by paying a sloppy 75 million euros for the German.

Havertz came over from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for an amount of about eighty million euros, making Chelsea a slight loss. The 24-year-old German, born on the border with the Netherlands, played three seasons in the shirt of The Blues. In 2021 he decided the Champions League final.
Arsenal is on the hunt for the first national title since 2004 with Havertz. Last season, manager Mikel Arteta’s team led the Premier League for a long time, but Manchester City turned out to be too strong. Arsenal is also busy with Jurriën Timber (Ajax) and Declan Rice (West Ham United).
Manager Arteta is very pleased with the arrival of Havertz. “This is a real top quality player. He is extremely versatile and he is also a very intelligent player. He brings a lot of power to our midfield and with him we also get more opportunities there.”
Havertz himself is looking forward to showing himself at The Gunners. “The mentality at the club is great and you can feel it everywhere. That is also one of the reasons why it has been so difficult to play against Arsenal in recent seasons. I will do everything I can to give the club and their supporters the bring them the awards they deserve.”
We keep moving forward.
