Kai Havertz (21) has signed a five-year contract with Chelsea.
That confirms the club on own websites. Havertz will be this summer’s sixth signing at Stamford Bridge.
– I am very happy and proud to be here. It is a dream come true to play for a big club like Chelsea, and I look forward to meeting the players and coaches, says the German.
Bayer Leverkusen announced earlier today own website that The 21-year-old has left the German national team to sign for the blue-clad.

Havertz was an unused reserve in the 1-1 draw between Germany and Spain on Thursday. He has seven games for the A national team to Germany.
Havertz scored 20 goals for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and Europa League last season. The 21-year-old often operates in the role behind the strikers, and is also known for creating many chances for his teammates.
He has been in Bayer Leverkusen since he was 11 years old, but is leaving the parent club for a transfer fee that is rumored to be in excess of 800 million kroner.

He has shown himself in one of Europe’s best leagues, plays for the German national team and is an exciting, dynamic talent. We are delighted to be able to add his usability and quality to the stable before the season begins, says Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has had a busy late summer, and with Havertz in the box, the club is said to have spent around two billion kroner on new players this summer.
Timo Werner has been bought from Leipzig, Hakim Ziyech has been brought in from Ajax, while Ben Chilwell is taking the trip from Leicester. In addition, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr have been brought in as Bosman players.
