London –
Kai Havertz, expensive purchase Chelsea in the summer transfer market, it’s still sluggish. There appeared to be some confusion in his position on the pitch.
Kai Havertz has appeared twice with Chelsea at Premier League 2020/2021 season. The first week when the Blues won 3-1 over Brighton and the most recent second week, when Chelsea lost 0-2 to Liverpool (preview of the match can be watched here).
The 21-year-old German player was plotted on the left wing. However, he hasn’t shown his fangs yet.
Pundit football Sky SportsJamie Redknapp admits that he hasn’t been impressed with Kai Havertz’s appearance. In fact, Kai Havertz was carried off Chelsea this summer with an expensive price of 71 million pounds or the equivalent of Rp 1.4 trillion!
“He is an extraordinary and talented player, maybe it is only a matter of time to see his best,” said Jamie Redknapp.
“He has come to a new league, so he must be more careful,” continued Jamie Redknapp who is also a former Liverpool and Spurs player.

Jamie Redknapp continued, it seems Chelsea manager Frank Lampard also looks confused to place Kai Havertz in the field. Twice placed on the left-wing attacking post, there hasn’t been a deadly pass, a stabbing move into the box, or a dangerous hard kick.
“In the wing post, actually there are Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech, but the two players were injured. In the number 10 position, there are Mason Mount and Ross Barkley,” explained Jamie Redknapp.
“Kai Havertz doesn’t seem to be a suitable striker, like yesterday’s opponent Brighton,” he added.

Kai Havertz During his time with Bayer Leverkusen from 2016 to 2020, he was placed in the attacking midfield position 88 times more often. However, he has also been deployed on the right wing 44 times, and central midfielder 21 times.
When placed in attacking midfielder behind the striker, he was able to score 19 goals and provide 21 assists.
Frank Lampard seems to still want to try Kai Havertz’s position first. As a result, the player must adapt first and do what the manager wants.
Even though in the end, Kai Havertz himself was confused so that his potential had not yet been seen. So yes, as Jamie Redknapp said, you have to be patient first.
