Kaesang Pangarep Reveals Conversations when the President’s Family Gathers Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com– Being the only ordinary citizen in President Joko Widodo’s family, Kaesang Pangarep revealed what kind of conversation when their family got together.

Not long ago their family gathered in the city of Yogyakarta.

Whenever his family gathers, Kaesang feels that he is the only one who becomes an ordinary civilian.

“All one family of officials, father, mas Gibran, brother-in-law, automatically mother too, brother-in-law, my brother is number two, when family gathers, civilians come ‘mission sir,'” said Kaesang with a laugh.

“That’s why when the family gathers during Lebaran, it contains the Mayor of Solo, the Mayor of Medan, the President, there are ordinary citizens who come in, ‘mission sir,'” Kaesang said laughing again.

Having a family that is involved in politics, Kaesang reveals what they usually talk about.

“(Talk about) politics. Tomorrow we have to beat this party,” Kaesang joked then laughed.

But it’s not about politics, it turns out that when their families get together, the conversation is haphazard.

They could talk about anything, but never talk about politics or work.

“It’s very random. Never (talk) about political issues, work is also rare. Because everyone has their own work, each has their own responsibilities,” said Kaesang.

“There’s nothing important, why don’t we talk about it,” added Kaesang.

From the conversation it was later revealed that it was between the family JokowiGibran is the most casual person.

“Father is a very serious person. Mr. Gibran who is loose,” said Kaesang.

“You don’t believe it, do you? It’s just a front view,” said Kaesang about her brother who often looks serious in front of the camera.

For example, Kaesang then told how his brother wore shorts and rode his son’s bicycle to get around.

Compared to himself, Kaesang said that Gibran was much less lazy.

“No matter what, he’s the mayor of Solo, he’s in Jogja again, he sees his son’s bicycle, he wears shorts, plays around,” said Kaesang.

“That’s not true. There are only those who voted for him, almost 90 percent more,” joked Kaesang.
