General Chairperson of the DPP Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep met with volunteers supporting the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Kaesang ask volunteers to reproduce pictures of ‘Samsul and Starfruit Vegetables’.
Kaesang, who was wearing a T-shirt with a picture of vice presidential candidate Gibran, asked for volunteer support for PSI and Gibran. Kaesang admitted that he was mandated to fight to raise PSI.
“That’s why I ask for help from friends, especially at PSI, we always add more pictures of Samsul, more pictures of Starfruit Vegetables so that Samsul can win one round,” said Kaesang in Serang, Wednesday (3/1/2024).
While joking, Kaesang asked the volunteers who Samsul was. He said Samsul is an abbreviation of sulfuric acid.
“I don’t know Samsul, Samsul is sulfuric acid,” he said.
Kaesang admitted that he had no problem with Gibran being called Samsul or Vegetable Starfruit. He gave the example of Gibran, who was previously widely mocked but performed well in the Cawapres debate.
“It’s okay, there are many people who look down on Mr. Gibran, especially yesterday before the debate, he was mocked there, he was mocked here, when he saw his performance yesterday he immediately remained silent,” said Kaesang.
According to Kaesang, the most important thing now is to ensure that the Prabowo-Gibran pair wins one round. Apart from that, PSI can also pass to parliament.
“But it’s okay, I can only hope that on February 14 2024, if we win one round, PSI will also be able to enter Senayan here, especially the provincial DPRD and city districts and get as many seats as possible,” said Kaesang.
Kaesang left a message to volunteers to win over his older brother in Banten. Kaesang believes Gibran has integrity.
“Basically, I ask all my friends who are here to entrust them to me, my beloved older brother, even though he is annoying, I entrust him, I am sure he has the integrity to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people,” said Kaesang.
