Kadyrov, in his statement, stressed the special role of the Vostok-Akhmat group in the battles in southern Ukraine. In his words, “Kadyrovtsy” are almost the only combat-ready unit of the RF Armed Forces on this sector of the front. Officially, “Vostok-Akhmat” is subordinate to the 42nd motorized rifle division of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation, which is fighting in the Rabotinoye area.
“Kadyrovtsy” are represented by a small group of troops in Ukraine, but they play a significant role in the battles. It is possible that with such statements, Kadyrov is simply trying to distinguish his thugs from the rest of the Russian Armed Forces in order to curry favor with Putin and strengthen his reputation in the eyes of the Russian dictator.
Earlier, we reported that near Mariupol, “Kadyrovtsy” and military personnel of the RF Armed Forces again staged a shootout. As a result, 7 civilians were killed.
