Kadyrov confirmed that a thoroughbred stallion stolen in the Czech Republic belongs to him. He valued it at $10 million

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, confirmed that a thoroughbred stallion named Zazu, who was kidnapped from a stable in the Czech village of Krabchitsa, belongs to him. About this he wrote in your telegram channel.

Kadyrov, according to data portal Jezdci, bought a stallion in 2012 from WH Sport International and brought him to the Czech Republic from Dubai. The cost of a 16-year-old stallion in the police was estimated at almost 400,000 crowns (about $18,000). The horse, as part of Kadyrov’s property, fell under sanctions after the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

According to the police, on the night of March 3-4, an unknown person removed a chain with a carbine from the sliding door in the stable and led the horse away. The application contains a description of the stallion: on the forehead there is a white spot of irregular shape in the form of a star, and the part of the right hind leg below the thigh is also white. The police asked for help finding the horse.

Ramzan Kadyrov said that Zazu “became the first victim of the sanctions” aimed at him, his family and his team. “Today it turns out that Zazu was stolen by unknown persons. How did this become possible? Was he kept on some provincial farm so that he could be taken away so easily? Where are the guards? Where are the valiant police with democratically effective and advanced methods of investigation? We have in the republic, a car can be left open overnight, but then someone takes the sanctioned horse out of the corral, and the law enforcement officers find out about it only after a few days,” he wrote.

The head of Chechnya also said that the price of his horse was “artificially lowered”, but in fact, according to him, “a thoroughbred Zazu costs at least $10 million.”

In total, the stallion took part in 36 races, won nine times and earned more than 1.2 million euros. In recent years, Zazu has been used to breed horses. Three weeks before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, according to Jezdci.cz, two Russian-speaking men tried to get Zaza and another horse out of the Krabcice stables, but the owner of the stable prevented them from doing so. The two men spent another five days in a van parked at the stable gate before leaving.
