The winners of the Cup of Bulgaria Deya Sport recorded their 16th victory in the efbet Super Volley. The team led by Francesco Cadedu prevailed over Levski Sofia v 3:1 (25:23, 25:19, 22:25, 25:21) in a match of the 17th round, played in the hall of the same name.
The meeting began with a minute’s silence in memory of the victims on the road, and more specifically because of the father of Deya Sport’s libero Martin Ivanov, who died yesterday after a traffic accident in Sofia.
Burgazlii had an advantage in all elements and took the lead in the match without any particular problems. In the third part, the hosts managed to gain the upper hand, but it was not enough to bring the match into a tiebreak. Thus, Francesco Cadedu’s volleyball players triumphed with success after a great game.
Martin Ivanov was awarded MVP. Lucas Madaloz was the top scorer with 18 points (2 blocks), Valentin Bratoev finished with 13 points (2 blocks). Dimitar Vasilev scored 11 points (2 aces, 1 block).
Deya Sport has 46 points (16 wins, 1 loss), “Levski” is second with 38 points (13 wins, 4 losses).
In the next round, Burgaslii hosts Montana at home on February 24 (Saturday). Levski visited Neftohimik 2010 (Burgas) a day earlier.
