Liam McCluskey will remain with Orion Stars for the time being. The 22-year-old Belgian volleyball player has undergone major surgery on his knee.
“Patellar luxation, formally known as ‘dislocated kneecap’. It happened back in December, after which I made the decision to consider surgery after the season, and then I went under the knife on June 4,” McCluskey explained.
“The recovery is going well. At the moment I am already about 2 weeks ahead of schedule so that I can now walk faster without crutches. The doctors expect that I can be 100% fit again around December so that is the trajectory from now on, try to be fit in December.”
