On Thursday afternoon, K3 gave a surprise performance to the Joe Christmas House in Antwerp on the Grote Markt in Antwerp. K3, with the brand new K’tje Julia, saw the performances in the Sportpaleis pass by at the beginning of December. But they clearly make up for that today with a performance in front of the Joe Christmas House. They were the support act for singer Raf Van Brussel, who performed the song Package from your heart came to bring.

For most people, the Christmas season is a special time with good food, lots of fun and lots of presents under the tree. However, this is by no means obvious to everyone. 1 in 5 children in Belgium lives in poverty. For them there are not always packages under the tree. Radio station Joe wanted to do something about that and started the fundraiser on November 30th Package of your Heart.

Ambassadors Sven & Anke and Raf & Rani called on all of Flanders to show their generous hearts and to donate packages to children from underprivileged families. People could buy packages for the children via the radio station’s website, such as finger paint, a cuddly toy or roller skates. Tonight the amount collected was revealed from the Joe Christmas House on the Grote Markt in Antwerp: 1,014,900 euros.

Mayor De Wever was already enthusiastic, he took a picture with K3 just before the performance started.
