SEOUL, 18 jan. (Yonhap) — Le girls band de K-pop, aespawill perform at Governors Ball Music Festival 2023, a major annual outdoor music festival in New York City, its promotion agency, SM Entertainment, announced on Wednesday.
The girl band will be the first K-pop group to perform at the festival, according to the agency. This year’s event will take place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the borough of Queens in New York City from June 9-11, featuring artists from a variety of musical genres including electronic, indie pop, rock and hip-hop, with Lizzo, Odesza and Kendrick Lamar headlining.
The quartet will perform on the main stage on the second day of the festival. In April, aespa took part in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest outdoor music festival in the United States. Next, the girl band performed at the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series, an annual summer concert hosted by ABC’s popular morning show.
