Israel has registered only four cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, the lowest in more than a year, the DPA reported, citing the Jewish state’s health care.
The last time this indicator was lower was at the beginning of March last year.
The new four cases were identified by 22,360 tests.
Israel, with a population of 9 million, launched its vaccination campaign against COVID-19 on 19 December. As it progressed, new cases of infection and severe cases of illness decreased dramatically.
As a result, the Israeli government has begun to gradually loosen restrictions on the country due to the coronavirus.
