Meanwhile, on the RHI-Lovech website as well a special order was issued, from which it became clear exactly what restrictions were decided to be introduced in the area.

There will be a lockdown in the most affected Bulgarian region at the moment – Burgas. In the late afternoon, the meeting of the Regional Anti-Epidemic Headquarters for the fight against coronavirus ended.

Here is what the director of RHI Burgas, Dr. Georgi Pazderov, said.

“Increase covid resource from March 20 to 551 covid beds. This morning there were only 50% vacancies. Each hospital will have to provide at least 30% of its capacity.

With a decision from today, all cultural, sports and mass events on the territory of the Municipality of Burgas are suspended, except for those with international participation.

The following measures will be discussed on Friday, which will enter from March 20 for 14 days:

Closure of malls
Closing gyms
Closing of kindergartens

Dr. Georgi Pazderov did not indicate whether the classes of students from 1st to 4th grade will stop. The official order is expected within minutes.

The incidence in the region is growing, and according to the latest data it is over 720: 100,000 compared to 540: 100,000 a week ago.

As BLIC wrote, Bulgaria literally overheated in red in the traditional weekly KOVID analysis, provided by the Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. The morbidity affects 500 people per 100,000 population as of the reporting date – March 14. This means that this barrier is almost certainly already broken.

All areas outside Targovishte are already in the red zone. The barrier of 600 patients, which was unthinkable until two weeks ago, has already been transferred en masse.

The leader is already Burgas (676 per 100,000 population), followed by Pleven (647), Sofia-city (638), Vratsa (636), Kyustendil (604).
Plovdiv is well below the average level with 346 patients per 100,000 population, but also with a clear tendency for a sharp increase. We remind you that last week this indicator was 270.

As you can see from the curve, Bulgaria is literally repeating the autumn nightmare scenario. We are currently at the levels from around November 7. Or exactly 20 days to an absolute peak, when a complete lockdown was announced in the country, which led to immediate results, writes “Maritsa“.

This time there is a significant difference. When the curve is repeated, the peak appears on the election. What will happen until then, whether there will be a need to take the most severe measures exactly in the week before and after the elections, remains to be seen.

The death toll also repeated exactly the autumn and has already transferred 15 deaths from KOVID per 100,000 population. As has been the case several times, this indicator is about two weeks late after the disease. That is, it repeats the data from about November 20.
The peak of mortality was around December 10, when this figure reached 28 people per 100,000 population. That is, almost double as of today.

BLIC reminds that strict measures are being prepared in the capital, where there is also an increase in morbidity. Earlier today, the head of the capital’s RHI, Dr. Dancho Penchev, announced what exactly he will most likely close by the end of the week in Sofia.
