Juventus win duels against AS Roma in the Italian League continued. The Old Lady won 2-0 to break into the top three of the standings.

Duel Juventus vs Rome in week 21 the Italian League was held at Allianz Stadium, Turin, Sunday (7/2/2021) in the morning WIB. The hosts closed the first half with a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 13th minute.

In the second half, Roma dominated the match. However, it was Juventus who added the advantage after Roger Ibanez scored an own goal in the 69th minute.

Thanks to this victory, Juventus rose to third place in the Italian League standings. They displaced Roma with 42 points from 20 matches. Meanwhile, Roma fell to fourth with 40 points.

The course of the match

Roma immediately took the initiative to attack from the start of the match. The visitors dominated the game in the early minutes.

However, it was Juventus who opened the scoring first. Cristiano Ronaldo gave Juventus the lead with a goal in the 13th minute.

This goal came from Alex Sandro who moved on the left side. He broke free of Bryan Cristante and passed to Alvaro Morata.

Morata then handed the ball to Ronaldo who was in front of the penalty box. He fired a shot with his left foot which led to the bottom corner of the Roma goal.

Ronaldo almost doubled Juventus’ lead. His shot from inside the penalty box hit Marash Kumbulla and hit the crossbar.

Roma got several corner kicks, but nothing was able to be maximized into goals. On the other hand, the opportunity for Juventus through Ronaldo’s horizontal shot. Ronaldo’s kick was pushed over by Pau Lopez.

The situation was not much different in the second half. Roma returned to being the team that took the initiative to attack first. However, again the visitors could not maximize it.

From the return attack, Henrikh Mkhitaryan handed the ball to Gonzalo Villar. However, the solution was ultimately bad.
