Turin –
Party A league confirms Juventus vs Naples will be held according to schedule. This decision was made even though there were both teams being hit by cases COVID-19.
Juventus vs Napoli on day the three Serie A will be held at Allianz Stadium, Monday (5/10/2020) in the morning. There were concerns that this match would be postponed.
The reason is that both Napoli and Juventus are facing COVID-19 cases that have emerged in their teams. Two Il Parteinopei players, Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas tested positive for COVID-19. The same thing happened to two Bianconeri staff.
It was also reported that Naples was prohibited by the Local Health Authority (ASL) from going to Turin. However, this turned out to be untrue as a leaked copy of the ASL statement said they were only required to isolate from outsiders other than team members (fiduciary isolation).
In line with this, Serie A announced that Juventus vs Napoli will still be held as scheduled. Previously, the Bianconeri camp also confirmed that they refused to postpone the match against Il Partenopei.
“The Lega Serie A confirms that the Juventus vs Napoli match in Serie A The third week is still planned to start on October 4 at 20.45 Italian time,” said a statement from the Serie A side. football Italia.
Both Juventus and Napoli must now undergo fiduciary isolation to minimize transmission of COVID-19. They will be quarantined in a place (on the bubble) and are prohibited from meeting other people except team members.
Health protocol also states players will undergo a test four hours before the match which results immediately. Those who test negative for COVID-19 are allowed to play.
Serie A and UEFA rules state that as long as a team has 13 players with one of them the goalkeeper the match can continue. That means Napoli will lose Walk Out (WO) if not present at Allianz Stadium.
