Juventus turn to Sutalo for 15m after losing first choice Todibo

After losing Jean-Clair Todibo to West Ham United, Juventus are now turning their attention to Ajax defender Josip Sutalo, with Daniele Rugani a potential addition.

The Bianconeri had agreed personal terms with Todibo weeks ago but their refusal to move beyond a €5m loan with a €30m purchase option has proved disastrous.

Instead, West Ham offered €40m and a 10 per cent cut of the resale fee, getting the green light from OGC Nice and the player last night. He is undergoing a medical today.

Sutalo on Juventus’ radar

Now Juve must look elsewhere for a defender and the main candidate seems to be Sutalo, whose asking price is €15 million.

The 24-year-old Croatia international has also been linked with Bologna and Fiorentina, but Juve are believed to be the favourites for his signature.

This is also because Juventus are in talks with Ajax for Rugani anyway, who is wanted by new coach Francesco Farioli.

It was supposed to be a loan, but it could also be part of the deal for Sutalo.

A product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth academy, the 24-year-old was sold to Ajax for €20.5 million last summer.
