End of the adventure for Paul Pogba within Juventus Turin. The Italian club announced the termination of the French international’s contract by mutual agreement.
“Juventus football club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of November 30, 2024”declared the Bianconeri.
The France international failed a drugs test in August 2023 after spending the entire match on the bench in Serie A against Udinese. The following month he was suspended, so he could no longer train with the Juventus first team. He was suspended for four years a few months later, then reduced to 18 months.
This means Pogba can return to the pitch in March 2025, but he was no longer part of Juventus’ plans, so the Bianconeri have opened negotiations to terminate his contract.
The two sides have now reached an agreement and Pogba’s last day as a Juventus player will be November 30, 2024.
Pogba had returned to Turin for his second spell at Juventus in the summer of 2022. However, he had to deal with injuries before failing a doping ban last year, making just 12 competitive appearances all competitions combined.
In his latest interview, broadcast across several media outlets in October, Pogba said he was willing to give up money to stay at Juventus.
