Juventus risk losing nine points already this season following financial irregularities in player transfers. In addition, the Italian club will be indebted to Cristiano Ronaldo, in the amount of 19 million euros.
The Justice Council of the Italian Football Federation asked, in court, that nine points be deducted from Juventus and the suspension of directors Andrea Agnelli (for 16 months), Fabio Paratici (20 months and 10 days) and Federico Cherubini (10 months) for alleged financial irregularities related to player transfers. The request was made during the second session of the case trial, in Rome, by Giuseppe Chiné, the organization’s legal representative.
The Italian press also reveals that this process also involves Sampdoria, Empoli, Genoa, Parma, Pisa, Pescara, Pro Vercelli and Novara, suspected of inflating the value of transfers to increase revenue.
According to the newspaper “La Repubblica”, the leader asked that the nine points be deducted already this season, in case the investigation concludes that there was tax fraud. Juventus could be the target of another lawsuit and soon by Cristiano Ronaldo. Recently, some documents were discovered that confirm the undeclared payment to several players during the covid-19 stop. These will not have been signed by CR7 and the Portuguese will never have received the announced funds.
In addition, the same source reveals that Juventus owes 19.6 million euros to Cristiano Ronaldo.
