It is a week of apparent calm that the championship is experiencing A league. The aftermath of the case Juventus-Naples, postponement of the third day not disputed due to the Campania’s decision not to go to Turin after the ASL advice motivated by the three positives to Coronavirus, are destined to last a long time not only for the classification of the two teams, given that the result is still sub judice, but above all from a regulatory point of view.
Clubs and institutions are in fact united by the desire not to interrupt the championship, given all the consequences that this could cause for the same clubs at an economic level and also towards UEFA, but also to continue in the name of maximum safety and agreement between the parts.
Here then is that on the horizon there could be a change to the so-called protocol, that is the set of rules that indicate the behavior to be followed in the face of one or more positivity within the team body or the coaching staff. All in apparent contradiction with what was declared by the Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora and the federal president Gravina on Monday regarding the correctness of the protocol in place, which must be respected.
On Friday the Lega Serie A announced that a meeting was held between the club doctors, via videoconference, which could lead to important news in this regard: “A meeting was held today in video link between all the social doctors of the clubs of A – reads the Lega communiqué – the coordinator of the same Gianni Nanni and the independent director of Lega Serie A Maurizio Casasco, President of the Italian Sports Medical Federation ”.
“The meeting took place in a climate of great collaboration to reaffirm the practices and procedures for managing positive cases for covid-19 within the team groups. In anticipation of the next few weeks, the doctors have begun to elaborate and hypothesize possible additions to the protocol aimed at improving it “.
Nothing leaks more about it, but what is certain is that any news could also affect the fate of Juventus-Naples, whose future is increasingly shrouded in mystery. The appeal presented by De Laurentiis’ club has avoided at least for the moment the 3-0 at the table requested by Juventus and the additional investigation requested by the Sports Judge has kept the result subjudice. News was planned for the weekend, but there was a new postponement. The clubs and the whole league are waiting.
