JUVENTUS (edited by Pietro Lazzerini)
About 5.5 – He gets surprised by Valoti’s head whip. Then he doesn’t have to carry out any more interventions except for normal administration.
Danilo 7 – Lead a young team by raising your voice and trying to keep the distance between team mates and midfield. It stands out as always even in the construction phase but Kean wastes a chocolate by shooting at Cragno.
Rugani 6 – He hides behind Danilo’s broad shoulders, however keeping Gytkjaer at a distance who, however, does not excel and does not create apprehension.
Gatti 6 – In the first half he turns into a pendulum but at the time of the cross he doesn’t find any teammates ready to reward his bucking. For the rest he holds the field without facing particular dangers.
McKennie 6 – Cross and delight for the bianconeri: first he invents a perfect cross for Kean’s head and the Juventus advantage, then buca the header that allows Valoti to equalize with a punch from a corner. In the second half he runs on the wing but is also often inaccurate in areas of the pitch where it would be advisable to manage more carefully.
Beans 6.5 – Leads the midfield more than the Argentine teammate does. He commits himself in the two phases demonstrating a growing maturity. He also tries to throw himself forward but his action is rarely accompanied by the rest of the department. from 74′ Mary’s 6 – His weight is immediately felt because every time he takes the ball Monza is forced to double it. He tries the rabona when the match is still in the balance and gets a mix of applause and damn.
Paredes 5 – First as owner in black and white after months of abstinence and smooth performance without flashes. Landucci leaves him on the pitch throughout the game to give him adequate playing time but his form (and desire) are far from the best of days.
Miretti 6 – The other very young midfielder held up well without being able to score as much as Fagioli but still making very few mistakes. from 61′ Loctelli 6 – Enter to give more balance to the team and succeeds without making too much effort. A few minutes from the end he snatches a ball and then serves it to Milik who, however, fails to score.
Shake 6,5 – When it launches into space it is impregnable for opponents who watch it pass without being able to intervene. If he adjusts his aim he would already be a player of international caliber, he will probably get there over time, since he is absolutely on his side. He also stands out for his defensive self-denial. from 74′ Alex Sandro 5,5 – Some thrill always makes him run.
Lifted 6.5 – A little Dybala. Quick and left-handed touches like the former Juventus player, he invents by dancing on pointe and igniting the imagination of the Stadium. He doesn’t enter the second half with the same attitude and Landucci changes him to add experience in the Juventus ranks. from 60′ Church 7.5 – The news of the night of the Stadium is that the number 7 is officially back. His goal is a mix of all his best qualities: stubbornness, strength, speed and a great shot which together gave the 2-1 goal to the delirious fans. Allegri was missing like air.
Kean 6,5 – It takes him 8 minutes to beat Cragno with a great header, but then he gets lost in the maze of the Monza defense and rarely participates in the manoeuvre. At the beginning of the second half he finds himself face to face with Cragno but forgets the coldness in the locker room. He scores the 2-1 but at the moment of the winning header he is in an offside position. from 82′ Belongs to 6 – Misses a good chance but makes up for it with the assist wasted by Di Maria’s rabona.
Marco Landucci 6.5 – Very young team that smells of the future. Sure, heavy artillery is needed to win, but at least some play and some nice phrasing has been revised. The good game is something else, but there was a need to turn the page after Maradona’s 5-1 and finding Chiesa bodes well for the next matches. Starting with Atalanta.
MONZA (edited by Paolo Lora Lamia)
Final result: Juventus-Monza 2-1
Cragno 6.5 – He can do little on Kean’s goal, in the first half in which he then opposes Soulé’s shot from outside. He kept his goals afloat even at the start of the second half by denying Kean the brace, but in the final he raised the white flag on Chiesa’s great goal.
Marlon 6 – Contains as best he can in his area of expertise, helped by Antov in stopping an often treacherous Iling and, in the finale, Chiesa.
Mary 5.5 – Guilty on the goal of the Juventus advantage, as it leaves Kean alone in the center of the area. Something more in the second half.
carbon 6 – McKennie suffers at the start, however containing him better and better and also attempting some offensive sorties. From 57′ Charles Augustus 5.5 – He fails to make the usual contribution in terms of thrust on the left and offensive solutions in terms of crosses and conclusions on goal.
Antov 5 – Lent to the role of right winger, Iling suffers on several occasions and even more Chiesa as in the action of the former Fiorentina’s goal that decides the match. From 82′ Sensi sv.
Frog 6 – Even better as the match progresses, especially in terms of recovering balls then served forward.
Pessina 6 – The Monza captain didn’t show up with noteworthy plays, but he still made his presence felt in the nerve center of the pitch. From 57′ Rovella 5.5 – He doesn’t enter the field with an ideal attitude, mishandling several balls in the middle of the field.
D’Alessandro 6 – Few ideas on the left from him, almost never closed with interesting suggestions for his teammates in the area. Much better in this sense in the first part of the second half. from 67′ Izzo 6 – He gives substance to the defense in the final, which for him is particularly tense especially for the confrontation with Di Maria.
Colpani 6.5 – The more active of the two attacking midfielders from Monza, who also has the merit of kicking the corner from which the 1-1 goal arrives.
Values 7 – In the shadows for most of the first half, he lights up at the right moment by heading Perin on a corner beaten by Colpani. However, his goal was not enough for Palladino’s team. From the 67′ Vineyard 6 – The ex Chievo doesn’t have great opportunities to show off, having few balls available.
Gytkjaer 5.5 – Difficult evening for the centre-forward, closed without too much trouble by the opposing centre-backs and little served by his teammates. Things don’t change after the break.
Raffaele Palladino 6 – His Monza comes out of the Allianz Stadium with his head held high, after a game in which he shows his usual resourcefulness. A great play by Chiesa paid dearly, marked by a player who has already been booked and who does not risk the expulsion foul like Antov.
