Juventus Leads The Race to Sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea According to ESPN Report

Between Chelsea and Christian Pulisic (24) the signs are goodbye. The former Borussia Dortmund player recently saw no country in the star ensemble of the Blues. A move to Serie A could give his faltering career a new boost.

Juventus Turin is showing keen interest in Pulisic and, according to US TV broadcaster ESPN, is said to be ahead of the game when it comes to courting the former BVB star. In Piedmont, the right winger could follow in the footsteps of Angel Di Maria (35), whose contract expires at the end of June.

Pulisic’s contract in London, on the other hand, is valid until 2024. Chelsea would let the offensive player go this summer. A transfer fee of almost 25 million euros is being traded.

The Londoners have spent over €600m on new players since the summer of 2022 and are now forced to sell some professionals in terms of financial fair play. Despite that urgency, however, Chelsea can’t be expected to be willing to make concessions on Pulisic.

Christian Pulisic also traded at Manchester United and AC Milan

As ESPN further reports, Pulisic was also offered to other top clubs such as Manchester United, Newcastle United, AC Milan and SSC Naples. These teams would probably have no problem raising the required transfer fee.

Juventus should therefore do their best to get ahead of the competition. Especially since the Italian record champions should not be willing to accept Pulisic’s high salary. The American currently earns almost 15 million euros a year at Chelsea.

The old lady will have to cut costs next season as the team around former Frankfurt player Filip Kostic (30) failed to qualify for the Champions League. One reason for this can be found, among other things, in the 10-point deduction for falsifying the balance sheets.
