Juventus knocked out of the Champions League because it was too underestimated

Jakarta

Juventus knocked out of the Champions League after appearing disappointing cons Porto. Juve left back Alex sandro judging his team to underestimate the match.

Juventus were eliminated in the last 16 of the Champions League after a 4-4 aggregate draw with Porto over two legs. The Bianconeri lost 1-2 at Porto headquarters, then only won 3-2 in Turin over 10 opposing players.

As a result the team made Andrea Pirlo it was thrown out for the count of away goals. This is the second time in succession Juventus stalled in the round of 16.

This failure was a big spotlight for the Italian champions for the last nine seasons. Because they are even further away from realizing their ambition to become European champions, even after bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018.

Since Ronaldo’s arrival, Juventus eliminated in the quarter-finals by Ajax, then in the last 16 by Lyon and Porto. The three opponents on paper are still below Juventus in terms of team composition.

Alex Sandro feels Juventus’ problem is in attitude. The failure to get past Porto was the result of taking the match too lightly.

“We were disappointed by yesterday’s elimination and the biggest mistake was how we approached the match. Even in the first leg we started poorly in the first and second half,” he told reporters. Sky Sport Italy quoted Football Italia.

“Just in moments when the game looks easy that’s what we have to improve on. You can concede even when the situation doesn’t look dangerous, and this can lead to defeat.”

“We have to think that every possession of the ball is important, and every action can change our game and season. In this case, we need to be better,” continued the Brazilian.
