One month from the start of the championship and ten days from the start of the preparation for the Juventus it’s time for the first seasonal tests.
Next Saturday in Monza the ‘Berlusconi Trophy’ will come back to life, with the bianconeri playing against the Brianza coached by Giovanni Stroppa, while on 8 August it will be the turn of the super test in Barcelona against Leo Messi and his teammates for the Gamper Trophy.
The question that agitates the Juventus environment, however, is whether for those days the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The doubts regarding the permanence of the Portuguese champion continue to animate the Juventus summer, but the time for decisions has now arrived.
Indeed, the decision seemed to have already been taken, according to the social message posted this week by CR7, precisely “Decision Day”, caption of a rather ambiguous photo that showed a Christian in a reflective version.
Still, the days have passed and nothing for sure has leaked about where Ronaldo will spend next season, so here comes another post, again on Instagram, which does not leave the Juventus people calm.
Once again cryptic, with the simple writing “Work done” next to a photo that portrays Ronaldo in the training uniform, but of the Portuguese national.
Nothing definitive, therefore, and the mystery remains, even if you can read an indirect response to the photo published a few hours ago by Juventus, that of Ronaldo with the Juventus training shirt.
Cristiano’s holidays are about to end after the contradictory experience a Euro 2020, which saw him close with the title of top scorer with five goals equal to Patrik Schick, despite only four games played, but also being eliminated already at the eighths from Belgium, thus failing to defend the title won five years ago in France.
Monday 25 July will be, it should be, the day when Cristiano will show up in Turin to start his fourth season as a Juventus player, the second under the guidance of Max Allegri.
The vice president Pavel Nedved and the sporting director Federico Cherubini repeatedly reiterated that they had not received signals from the player and from the agent Jorge Mendes, therefore tacit consent to Ronaldo’s stay in Italy.
The twists are not excluded, however, as well as the possibility of a landing at Paris Saint Germain, the only team that has expressed interest in the Portuguese and among the very few able to support the salary of 31 million net a year, sponsors excluded, that Ronaldo receives in Turin.
