Juventus Turin is apparently stopping its efforts to work with David Alaba (28, contract expires). According to CALCIOMERCATO.COM, other transfer goals are being pursued.

David Alaba’s salary requests and his alleged verbal promise to Real Madrid are said to be displeasing to Juventus. A transfer should no longer be an issue.
Alaba is known to be available for a free transfer. But the Austrian is not cheap. On the contrary: the defensive all-rounder should aim for a salary of 12 million euros net per year.
That makes 48 million euros with a four-year contract. Bonuses not yet included. No player earns that much at the old lady – except for Cristiano Ronaldo (36.31 million euros net per year).
