Final result: Juventus-Fiorentina 2-0
Juventus report cards (by Raimondo De Magistris)
Perin 7.5 – Seals the renewal of the contract with a performance from the best in the field. All instinct was the save in the first half on Arthur Cabral, very quick reflexes in the second half on the header of Martinez Quarta deflected by De Ligt. Juventus has decided to continue to bet on him for the role of number 12 and tonight Perin has shown that his choice was never more correct.
De Sciglio 5.5 – Often late, even more times in trouble. From his parts Biraghi overlaps many times, reaching the bottom too easily. From the 79th Cuadrado 6.5 – In the final his assist for the definitive 2-0 signed by Danilo.
Bonucci 6.5 – Back to the center of defense with a good performance. He compensates with good readings for a physical condition that, inevitably, does not support him throughout the match.
De Ligt 6.5 – By now irreplaceable for Allegri, De Ligt gave a good performance tonight also in continuity: no voltage drop.
Alex Sandro 6 – With Fiorentina in constant offensive projection, he limits himself to the containment phase: he succeeds in this way, his readings are not always lucid.
Bernardeschi 7 – Not much in the middle of the game in the first half but he has the merit of finding the goal shortly after the half hour with a non-trivial play, despite the mistakes of the opponents. In the second half the level of performance also rises. From the 82nd Chiellini sv
Zakaria 6.5 – Station in front of the defense, but when Juve restarts systematically accompanies the action and in the second half also goes close to scoring: confirms that he has enviable timing of insertion.
Danilo 6.5 – In a complicated season, the Brazilian has always been a certainty for Allegri. Tonight the central midfielder was deployed and not even in this role the former City has disappointed: with the time expired he scored the final 2-0.
Rabiot 6.5 – If we start from the assumption that he is a fighting midfielder much more than a government midfielder, his performance can only be judged positively: he combines a good match in the containment phase with several jerks in the restart. In the second half he also scores, but is in a slight offside position.
Vlahovic 6 – He goes to the doors with Igor, sacrifices himself on the altar of a Juventus playing on the restart. From the 82nd Kean sv
Morata 6 – Like Vlahovic, he is forced into a race of great sacrifice. An important match from the point of view of commitment and has the merit of putting the ball at the center from which Bernardeschi’s goal was born. From the 66th Dybala 6 – Good impact with the game, especially in the defensive phase.
Massimiliano Allegri 6.5 – Set the game on restarts and the strategy turns out to be a winner. The defensive performance of his Juventus was very solid.
The Fiorentina report cards (by Niccolò Pasta)
Dragowski 5 – He closes the mirror well to the Juventus strikers in the first half hour, but then reads Morata’s cross very badly which leads to Bernardeschi’s goal. A very serious mistake, which determines the race of him.
Come 6 – He holds Juventus well when attacking in his lane. It is often seen in the cross zone, but it is not always accurate to the cross. From 69 ‘ Callejon 5.5 – Not even the time to enter that Rabiot is lost, able to sign the 2-0 but luckily for him the VAR grace him and cancels the goal for offside. Try to give support in the final with several crosses, which however do not lead to the goal.
Martinez Quarta 5.5 – The move of the last hour of the Italian given the forfeit of Milenkovic, gets along against Vlahovic, to whom he concedes one-on-one with a lot of field behind him, saving a couple of occasions with clean and precise interventions. He takes a yellow card in the second half, where he is more in trouble, being jumped too easily by Cuadrado on the occasion of Danilo’s goal that closes the game.
Igor 6 – Often forced, like Martinez Quarta, to play with a lot of pitch behind him on Juventus counterattacks, he gets along with his body and speed, even if it is not his ideal match.
Biraghi 5 – Constant thrust to the left, paired with Saponara, but little precision in the cross. Guilty, moreover, on the occasion of Bernardeschi’s goal: Dragowski reads Morata’s cross very badly, but the refusal of the national team full-back is as wrong as the goalkeeper’s exit. His is a gift to Juventus’ 20, who directs the game.
Duncan 5,5 – A lot of substance in the middle, but also several technical errors in the construction phase. He is not precise in refining the actions and even the times he tries to play in the last twenty meters he often misses the choice, with few verticalizations for Cabral. From 79 ‘Maleh sv
Tower 6 – Try to give order and balance to Fiorentina, playing a huge amount of balls and interrupting several Juventus transitions. First to raise the pressure of the Viola, he takes a hard blow shortly after the half of the first half, which affects the final of the first fraction. He comes out at half-time because of a precarious physical condition. From 46 ‘ Amrabat 6 – Along the lines of the Torreira match, he plays a large amount of balls, albeit without risking through filters but all quite close horizontally. He has a good chance in the final, but he kicks too soft.
Saponara 6 – In the role of hybrid between mid-winger and winger, he tries to give quality to the maneuver of the Italian team, with good insertions and with such amplitude that it favors the insertion in the spaces of his teammates. Good race, with a couple of interesting balls served to his teammates and constant danger in De Sciglio’s lane. From 63 ‘ Thin 5.5 – He tries with his head down, but fails to change the face of the attack.
Nico Gonzalez 5.5 – Shortly in the heart of the action, it lights up intermittently and without being able to engrave.
Cabral 5,5 – He struggles a lot with his back to the goal, even in a clumsy but effective way. He has few balls, however, available to hurt and is also the protagonist of a goal “canceled” to him after a few minutes, saving on the line a sure shot from Torreira. A good header and little else is not enough.
Icon 5 – Out of position and very smoky, he is unable to give Fiorentina the change of pace, losing several balls and slowing down the maneuver with too complex dribbles. He is also guilty of losing the ball too naively, which will then lead to the counterattack that will give rise to Bernardeschi’s goal: a very opaque game. From 79 ‘Piątek sv
Vincenzo Italiano 5.5 – Fiorentina starts very well, they play their game but in a too confused way. The team creates a lot, arrives in the last twenty meters and commits many small technical errors, which jeopardize the closure of the action. He stays in the game despite the many carelessness, but fails to resume qualification despite unscrupulous changes. However, he comes out with his head held high, in a double confrontation in which he deserved something more. The many absences have had an impact on this return match, but the remorse is due to the many mistakes of the Franchi in the first leg match.
