Juventus played their first match after Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Manchester United when the Serie A giant hosted newcomer Empoli at home on Saturday night. Then Dejan Kulusevski started on the bench.
The visitors shocked Juventus when they took the lead after 20 minutes of play. A nice Empoli attack ended with a shot luckily directed to forward Leonardo Mancuso, who took advantage of the chance and distinctly scored 0-1 behind Wojciech Szczesny in the home goal.
Juventus then chased an equalizer and replaced Kulusevski in the 67th minute. But all was in vain, as Empoli held off and secured a sensational victory. Juventus thus remains on one point after two rounds of Serie A.
