Juventus captain Danilo was forced off the field for Brazil during a World Cup qualifier against Venezuela after reportedly suffering a muscle injury.
The 32-year-old defender, who was officially handed the captain’s armband this summer following Leonardo Bonucci’s transfer to Union Berlin, has played every available minute for the Bianconeri this season, featuring in all eight matches.
Danilo played an incredibly important role for Juventus last season, with over 4600 minutes of action in 54 appearances. He appeared in all but two matches, which were due to yellow card suspensions.
As Gianluca Di Marzio points out, Danilo was forced off in the 42nd minute of Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela after suffering a muscle injury.
He told the media after the match: “’I know my body, as soon as it happened I knew I was injured. I won’t be there against Uruguay.
Juventus now risk being without Danilo for their first match after the international break, when they face Milan on October 22.
