TORINO – According to a press release from the Juventus club, the Juventus filed the appeal to the Board of Guarantee at the CONI after the penalty of 15 points in the standings in the championship of A league.

Il Coni has formalized the receipt by the Sports Guarantee Board of the appeal filed by Juventus against the FIGC and the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office against the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal, United Sections – issued on 20 January and filed on 30 January – with the penalty of penalizing 15 points in the standings for the Juventus team from discount in the current sporting season. There Juventus principally requests the College of Guarantee to annul without delay the contested decision for the inadmissibility of the appeal for revocation of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, since the investigative documents sent by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to the Court of Turin do not constitute ‘new facts’ suitable for subvert the ratio decidendi of the revoked sentence. Alternatively, the club requests that the decision be annulled for violating the principles of due process and due process, as well as for violating the right of defence. The appeal also proposes other reasons for requesting the annulment without postponement and also suggests “cancelling the sentence for violation of the principles of due process”. With regard to the sanction, Juve requests that the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal be annulled for omitted reasons on the quantification of the sanctions imposed in violation of art. 12 CGS FIGC and in violation of the principle of proportionality in the treatment of sanctions. Finally, the Juventus club requests in the extreme alternative to order the referral to the competent federal sports justice body, which will want – according to the principle of law sanctioned by the Guarantee College – to reform the contested decision in favor of the appellant.
Also appeals from Agnelli and Paratici
As made official by Coni, the Board of Guarantee has received, in addition to that of the Juventus company, the appeals former Juventus president Andrea Agnelli and former sporting director Fabio Paratici. As part of the investigation into capital gains, Agnelli was sentenced by the FIGC Court of Appeal to 24 months of inhibition, for Paratici it was 30. The reasons in support of the appeals follow those presented by the Juventus club against the 15-point penalty in ranking. Subsequently, the presentation of appeals by the other Juventus managers Enrico Vellano and Federico Cherubini was also confirmed.
