Juventus able to beat Lazio 3-1 at home. This victory brought the Old Lady to the top of the standings A league.
Juventus host Lazio at the Allianz Stadium in the Italian League continued match, Saturday (16/9) evening WIB. The hosts were able to lead by two goals in the first half.
Two Bianconeri goals came from Dusan Vlahovic in the 10th minute and Federico Chiesa in the 26th minute.
After the break, Lazio fell behind from Luis Alberto’s shot in the 65th minute. Juventus were able to respond to pull away again two minutes later. Vlahovic made a brace after scoring again in the 67th minute.
Juventus ended the match with a 3-1 win. This result brings Juventus to the top of the standings with 10 points. Meanwhile, Lazio is in 15th place with just three points.
The Course of the Match
Juventus was able to score a goal when the game had only been running for 10 minutes. Manuel Locatelli’s cross was struck by Dusan Vlahovic to score a goal.
In the 14th minute, Vlahovic almost scored his second goal in this match. However, his header from a corner kick still went up.
Juventus was able to score the second goal in the 26th minute. Adrien Rabiot’s stab gave birth to a wild ball which Federico Chiesa was able to hit into a goal.
Lazio, who were two goals behind, tried to respond. However, their efforts to reduce the score did not produce results until halftime.
Score 2-0 for Juventus closed the first half.
After the break, the Old Lady immediately spread threats. Chiesa’s free kick was met by Rabiot’s header. Rabiot’s attempt was still pushed over by Ivan Provedel.
After that, Lazio controlled the game. Their efforts to reduce the deficit bore fruit in the 65th minute.
Luis Alberto got the ball in front of the penalty box after Juventus’ build up was not good enough. His shot from outside the penalty box nestled into the left corner of Wojciech Szczesny’s goal.
Juventus only needed two minutes to reply to this goal. Weston McKennie’s long pass found Vlahovic. Vlahovic made a brace after his shot from the edge of the penalty box couldn’t be blocked by Provedel.
No additional goals were scored in the remainder of the match. Juventus ended the match with a 3-1 win.
