Cristiano Ronaldo willing to testify in cases of alleged underhand payment of wages Juventus. He is one of the players who was affected while defending the Bianconeri.
Reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo, who is now defending Al Nassr, refused to be involved in this case. Later, however, he changed his stance.
It is not yet known when Ronaldo’s party and the prosecutors from Turin will take place, but the location is expected to be held between Madrid, Lisbon or in Italy.
Juventus are being investigated by Italian authorities for allegedly falsifying financial reports regarding player salaries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bianconceri players were reported to have received a salary reduction of four months or the equivalent of 90 million Euros.
However, in fact, only one month’s salary will be given up (22 million Euros), while the other three months will be paid privately. As a club listed on the stock exchange, Juventus is considered not to be transparent about financial conditions.
They did not include that in the financial statements nor did they notify the FIGC. Juventus have reportedly still not paid Ronaldo’s salary of no less than 19 million Euros.
Previously, Juventus had been punished with a 15 point deduction in Serie A due to cases of falsifying transfer fees and capital gains. A number of directors and former directors were also banned from being active in football for a certain period of time. They appealed against the sentence.
Ronaldo has left Juventus since 2021. He moved to Manchester United after scoring 101 goals and contributing two Scudetto titles, one Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups during his three years in Turin.
