Juventus has announced the squad list that will appear in the group phase Champions League this season. There were 23 players registered, including their new recruits, Federico Chiesa.
The announcement of the names was made by Juventus on their official website, Tuesday (6/10/2020). From that list, it is also known which jersey number Chiesa will wear at Juventus.
Enrico Chiesa’s son will wear the number 22. The number was last used by Mattia Perin, who is currently on loan at Genoa.
From the list released by Juventus, there is no name Sami khedira. He is the only first team player to have been dropped. The German midfielder is known not to have entered the plan Andrea Pirlo as allenatore Juventus, but he hasn’t left Turin yet.
It is known that Khedira wants his contract terminated by Juventus, but the Tunisian player reportedly chose to stay until his contract expires next year, unless his remaining salary is paid in full.
Besides Khedira’s elimination, another interesting thing is that Pirlo also promoted two Juventus U-23 players into the squad, namely Gianluca Frabotta and Manolo Portanova.
