Juventus and Napoli have falsified transfer amounts? An investigation by the Italian federation has started

The Italian federation decided to carefully look at the transfers made by Serie A clubs. Doubts were raised primarily in the transactions involving Juventus, but also Napoli and Sampdoria Genoa.

62 transactions were under the scrutiny of officials. All of them concerned player exchanges in which Italian teams participated. They likely overstated individual players to balance their budgets.

As many as 42 cases concern Juventus. The “Old Lady” exchanged players many times with other teams. Among these cases, there are two that were very loud in the past.

We are talking about business done with Manchester City and FC Barcelona. In the first case, it was to replace Joao Cancelo with Danilo, in the second Miralem Pjanic for Arthur Melo.

The latter was valued at 72 million euros, while the Bosnian was to be worth over 60 million. The exact list of suspicious transactions was published by the daily “Il Tempo”.

The transfer of Victor Osimhen to Napoli was also under the scrutiny of activists. The value of this transaction was to exceed EUR 71 million. Orestis Karnezis, Claudio Manzi, Ciro Palmieri and Luigi Liguori went to Lille.

All four were valued at over 20 million euros. The last two returned to Italy in no time. They are now playing for Serie D clubs, yet they were judged to be worth seven and four million euros respectively.
