Juventus ‘advance negotiations with Atletico Madrid to secure permanent deal for Alvaro Morata’

Juventus are reportedly moving forward in their talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata permanently.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid player has spent the last two years on loan in Italy from Atletico Madrid.

There is now optimism that Morata will complete a permanent transfer to Juventus, where he has scored 32 goals in 92 appearances.

That’s according to TuttoSport, who claim Juventus are keen to add two new strikers to their squad, with Moise Keane set to leave.

Juventus have not exercised the option to buy Morata on a permanent deal, but they remain in talks with the striker’s parent club Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish side don’t want to lose the £31million they paid Chelsea for him, but admit Morata is out of Diego Simeone’s plans for next season.

Juventus and Atletico are still in talks over a solution and all doors would lead to a deal being struck.

Another striker reportedly on Juventus’ radar is former Stoke City and West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Austria international currently plays in Serie A with Bologna, where he scored 14 goals in 33 appearances last season.

But Arnatuovic’s agent and brother Danijel claimed the reports linking him to Juventus were “fake news”.

Speaking to MadeInBo Radio TV, he said: “I don’t know where these stories come from or who speaks to the media, but I can say there is nothing in them.” It’s just fake news.

“When Marko came back to Italy, a lot of people thought he wasn’t ready and after a spell playing in China he couldn’t make a difference.

“However, he proved that he is still a top player with great performances and that’s what sparked all the speculation. Believe me, there is nothing with any other club, and if I don’t know it, then nobody knows it.

“Nothing is impossible, but at the moment we haven’t been contacted by anyone and we are not ready to sign for another club. Marko is a Bologna player.’

Arnautovic moved to England in 2013 and played for Stoke before moving to West Ham four years later.

The 33-year-old became a fan favorite in east London but left in acrimonious circumstances after failing to agree a new deal with the Hammers, opting to move to the Chinese side of the Port of Shanghai and pocket a large sum.
