The top coaches José Mourinho and Massimiliano Allegri return to Serie A with varying degrees of success. Mourinhos Roma win against Fiorentina 3-1 at the start, Allegri draws with Juve.
Two mistakes by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny brought Allegri the debut of the series champion Juventus Turin, who was recently dethroned by Inter Milan. At the break, the Juve were in a 2: 2 against Udinese sovereign 2: 0 lead, but six minutes after the restart, the 31-year-old Polish keeper suffered his first dropout. With a boisterous excursion, Szczesny caused a foul penalty, which Roberto Pereyra (51.) used to the connecting goal.
Seven minutes before the end of regular time, the evening turned into a nightmare for the Juventus goalkeeper when he missed the ball and Udinese’s Gerard Deulofeu benefited to 2-2. The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo almost spared his keeper the shame of having caused the Turin point loss alone. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, the striker, who had been substituted on after an hour, scored the alleged winning goal, which was canceled due to a narrow offside.
Stubborn transfer rumors about Ronaldo have recently been held, which Allegri and Vice President Pavel Nedved cleared up on match day. “He told me he wanted to stay,” said Allegri.

Successful roller coaster for Mourinho
Mourinho experienced an emotional but conciliatory debut at his debut as AS Roma coach. After a red card against Fiorentina’s keeper Bartlomiej Dragowski – like Szczesny Pole – because of an emergency brake in the 17th minute, Roma held the reins of the game in their hands. After almost half an hour, the Romans took advantage of the majority through Henrich Mchitarjan to 1-0.
Up to the hour mark, however, the home team gave up all the trumps when Nicolo Zaniolo first flew off the field with a yellow-red in the 52nd minute and Nikola Milenkovic equalized for the guests eight minutes later. In the end, the former Fiorentina professional Jordan Veretout stepped into the breach with a double (64th / 80th) for the “Special One”.
Allegri has won the Scudetto six times as coach of Milan and Juventus Turin in Italy, Mourinho has been champion twice with Inter Milan and triumphed in the Champions League in 2010.
