From Champions League results last night, Juventus lost to Porto while Dortmund triumphed at Sevilla headquarters.
There were two first leg matches in the last 16 of the Champions League which was played on Thursday (18/2) in the morning WIB. One of which is Porto Vs Juventus.
In the early minutes of Estadio do Dragao, Rodrigo Bentancur was caught off guard when he made a backpass to goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. The error led to a goal by Mehdi Taremi from Porto.
Juve have not been able to reply, it is Porto who added the advantage in the early minutes of the second half. Wilson Manafa’s cross was successfully converted by Moussa Marega into a goal.
Only in the 82nd minute Juventus were able to make a return goal. The ball from Adrien Rabiot was successfully followed by Federico Chiesa with an accurate kick into the left corner of the Porto goal. No more additional goals, Porto Vs Juventus ends 2-1.
There are still second leg matches to be played in Turin on March 9. Porto are narrowly ahead on aggregate, but Juve also still have a chance, especially later playing at home.
From Champions League results in another match at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, there was a duel Sevilla vs Dortmund. In this match Dortmund came from behind to win after Erling Haaland performed impressively.
Sevilla took the lead first when the game has been running for seven minutes. Suso’s shot ball hit Mats Hummels and then outwitted Dortmund goalkeeper Marwin Hitz.
In the 19th minute, Dortmund was able to equalize the score through Mahmoud Dahoud’s kick. Eight minutes later, Dortmund turned out to be superior through Haaland in collaboration with Jadon Sancho.
Before halftime, Erling Haaland scored the second goal. This time he continued with Marco Reus’ pass. Dortmund winning 3-1 at half time.
In the second half, only one goal was born. In the 84th minute, Luuk de Jong scored to minimize Sevilla’s defeat. Sevilla vs Dortmund ends 2-3 for the visitors.
In the second leg on March 9, Dortmund will turn to host Sevilla.
