Juventus has apparently found a new strike partner for Cristiano Ronaldo: The 37-year-old Sampdoria attacker Fabio Quagliarella is supposed to come.
As transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio reports, the veteran would like to play again for Juve, where he was already on loan in the 2010/11 season. Together with Ronaldo, Quagliarella could form the “oldest storm duo” in Europe. Together they would be 74 years old. However, this age is not a negative factor. On the contrary: CR7 has already scored 14 goals in Serie A this season, the Sampdoria striker has seven goals in 14 games.
But nothing is fixed yet: Apparently there are disagreements regarding the contract. Juve only want to tie Quagliarella until the end of the season, but the striker insists on a contract until 2022, especially since Sampdoria has already promised him that the contract, which expires in June, will be extended by another season if he stays. The club is also demanding a transfer fee of 1 million euros, which Turin shouldn’t be enthusiastic about.
Nevertheless, Sampdoria is already looking for a possible replacement: Sam Lammers (Atalanta) and Patrick Cutrone (Fiorentina) are in focus.
