Jusuf Hamka Orders 70 Units of Omoda E5, for Toll Road Operational Cars

BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – PT Chery Sales Indonesia officially carried out the first production roll off of the Omoda E5 at a facility owned by PT Handal Indonesia Motor, Saturday (2/12/2023) in Bekasi.

The event was also attended by the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and businessmen Jusuf Hamka.

Before the event finished, Jusuf said that he had ordered 70 units of Omoda E5. The ordered unit consists of three colors, yellow, black and white.

“I have ordered 70 units of Omoda E5, for my toll road operational vehicles,” said Jusuf in Bekasi, Saturday (2/12/2023).

Chery actually hasn’t announced the official price of the Omoda E5. The estimated price is between IDR 500 million to IDR 550 million.

The plan is for the official launch to take place at IIMS 2024, the SPK which has been submitted since GIIAS 2023 and Jusuf Hamka’s order can now be handed over. So those who want to order after the price is announced, don’t wait too long.

In terms of design, the Omoda E5 doesn’t look much different from the Omoda 5, especially regarding the exterior. The differences can be seen in the cabin, where the dashboard shape is different and the rear door trim has soft touch.
