Prime Minister (PM) of Canada Justin Trudeau finally left India on Tuesday (12/9), after plane damage caused him to be delayed returning home after attending G20 Summit in that country.
Trudeau arrived at India to attend a meeting of leaders of 20 developed countries last Friday. Originally, he was scheduled to return to his homeland last Sunday, after laying a wreath at the memorial of Indian independence leader Mahatma Gandhi.
However, engine trouble detected during pre-flight inspections resulted in the aircraft being grounded by the Armed Forces You have and he also canceled going home with his entire delegation.

Trudeau’s press secretary Mohammad Hussain confirmed to AFP that Canada’s G20 delegation was on board the plane.

Trudeau’s presence at the G20 summit was more muted than some of his G7 counterparts, and came amid tensions between his government and hosts India over Ottawa’s handling of right-wing Sikh separatists.
New Delhi accused Ottawa of turning a blind eye to the activities of radical Sikh nationalist groups seeking a separate Sikh region in northern India.
During a meeting with Trudeau, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed “strong concerns about the continued activities of anti-India extremist elements in Canada,” according to an Indian government statement.
Canada also recently suspended negotiations on a free trade agreement with India.
