Dresden.Justin Löwe couldn’t continue as a player, but the long-time kicker of the black and yellow team remains loyal to Dynamo Dresden even after the end of his last professional contract: the 23-year-old changes to the post of team manager with immediate effect and succeeds his predecessor Marie Jenhardt, who is leaving Dresden at her own request after just one year and is taking on a new job in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Leo has already prepared
For Löwe, who has been with the club since 2010 and was only loaned out to FC Oberlausitz in Neugersdorf for half a year in 2018, it is a new challenge that the Brandenburg-born footballer is really looking forward to: “For me, this task starts with a new chapter in my life – and I am very happy that I can also open this chapter at the SGD. During my time as a professional soccer player, I was always very interested in the processes involved in a team – that’s why I’ve used the past few months to get to know various areas of responsibility in the club as part of internships. As a team manager, I would like to help ensure that the procedures and processes around the team are designed as optimally as possible. I am grateful for this professional opportunity that is being offered to me and I will tackle the task with great diligence and willingness to learn.”

Justin Löwe was mostly on the bench during his professional career at Dynamo, but he never caused a bad mood.
Ralf Becker, Dynamo’s sporting director, sees Löwe as the ideal solution for the position that has become vacant as a result of Jenhardt’s departure: “Justin ‘Leo’ Löwe lives Dynamo one hundred percent. As a player, he always accepted his role in an exemplary manner and with great identification. In recent months it has become increasingly clear that we want to support ‘Leo’ off the field and integrate him into the club. He is our dream solution as the new team manager because, as a long-time Dynamo player, with his insights he represents an ideal link between the team, staff and other departments of the club.”
