Justin Kluivert played an important role at Valencia on Monday. The former Ajax player scored a valuable point in the relegation battle with a goal. In England, Tottenham Hotspur was stuck on a draw in the first game since the dismissal of Antonio Conte.
Valencia was 0-1 behind Rayo Vallecano for a long time thanks to a goal from Santo Comesaña. Kluivert was allowed to take a penalty about ten minutes before the end and shot in a controlled manner, with which he determined the final score at 1-1.
It was the fifth goal of this La Liga season for the 23-year-old attacker. Last month he was still important in helping Valencia to a 1-0 win over Osasuna.
Thanks to the draw against number eight Vallecano, Valencia is now above the relegation zone. Espanyol, Almería and Elche occupy the feared spots. There are still eleven rounds to go.
On Sunday, Kluivert and Valencia face a very important match, because then they will play against Almería. A week later, multiple Europa League winner Sevilla will visit the orange city.

Keane ruins evening Kane
In the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur seemed on its way to an away win over Everton thanks to a converted penalty from Harry Kane in the 68th minute. Thanks to a beautiful shot from a distance from defender Michael Keane, it still became 1-1 just before time.
Both teams were already on the field with one man less at that time. Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré had been sent off for a slap in the face of Kane and just before the 1-1, Spurs substitute Lucas Moura was also sent off for a tough foul.
Due to the late equalizer, it remains a while for Tottenham since it won at Goodison Park. Since a 2-6 win in 2018, five away games against Everton followed without a win.
Tottenham, who sacked Conte more than a week ago after he openly dismissed his players, are fourth in the Premier League. The Spurs are fighting with Newcastle United and Manchester United for a place in the top four and with it Champions League football.
