Gaethje’s right-footed shot hit Poirier in the neck. Poirier immediately fell.

The Diamond is sprawled. Referee Herb Dean immediately stopped the match. Gaethje won the BMF belt and is believed to be able to challenge the UFC lightweight champion belt, Islam Makhachev.
