Justice Smith thinks Detective Pikachu 2 won’t materialize

Shortly after the premiere of Detective Pikachu talk began about a possible sequel to the film. However, to date nothing has been finalized and even one of the protagonists of the film believes that this could continue.

In the framework of a recent interview with the portal Inverse, Justice Smith was consulted regarding the possibilities of a Detective Pikachu 2. The actor who played Tim Goodman in the 2019 film responded by assuring that he would like to participate in another installment, but warned that for now he is not clear about whether that will happen or not.

More about Detective Pikachu

“I would love to participate in Detective Pikachu 2”, Smith said. “I don’t know if it will happen. I think we have to bury our hopes. I don’t think it’s going to happen. Although I really hope so. Honestly, I’m a huge fan, who knows, who knows? I hope it happens ”.

Detective Pikachu got a good box office performance and in addition to having Smith, its cast included Ryan Reynolds as the titular pokémon, so the possibility of a sequel will probably never cease to be present. But of course, for now there would be nothing concrete about it.
