Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla will attend a Senate investigation into the killing of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, who was murdered last month. The DOJ had previously confirmed that suspended Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. was considered one of the masterminds in the assassination case, though his lawyers are still studying whether or not the lawmaker would attend the preliminary investigation of the DOJ. Remulla confirmed that Interpol had been informed about cases against Teves, but the lawmaker and his defense has yet to give details on whether he would return to the Philippines. Meanwhile, Remulla is expected to share with senators the status of the DOJ’s investigation into the killing of the governor.
